PraxAppCraft

Why PraxAppCraft exists

Maria is an educator with ADHD and autism. She builds apps so every brain can learn, and she wants AI to help children, not scare adults.

Built from 25 years in education, and personal experience.

Maria Angelis: Founder, senior educator, school leader.

I created PraxAppCraft after 25 years working in education. As someone with ADHD, autism and anxiety, I bring both professional and personal experience to the questions behind our work.

How can we make learning more accessible? How can parents and teachers use AI thoughtfully? And how can technology free up more time for understanding and creativity? PraxAppCraft grew from those questions. Khellou is our first app.

Vision and mission

Our vision: an education where more learners can participate, and where technology leaves more room for understanding, creativity and life.

Our mission: help students, parents and educators use AI thoughtfully to make learning more accessible, engaging and manageable.

What "Prax" means: Prax stands for practice, turning ideas into real action.

How we think about learning

Four ideas guide everything we build.

🧠 Critical thinking

Asking how we know things.

🧪 Project-based learning

Learning by solving real problems.

🧭 Independent learning

Steering your own learning.

🔄 Flipped classrooms

Learn at home, practise in class.

Clear by design, better for everyone

The world moves fast, and many people find it hard to focus: notifications, short videos, busy pages. So we make every page clear and simple. Learners who struggle get the help they need, and everyone else finds it easier too.

🛝 Think of a ramp at a building's entrance. It is built for wheelchairs, but parents with strollers, travellers with suitcases and delivery workers use it too. Our pages are the ramp. This is called the curb-cut effect, and it matches Universal Design for Learning (UDL): design for every learner from the start.
